betterwithmusic’s warehouse

There are work orders that turn out fine and there are those that don’t. The latter, compositions fallen behind, are the ones populating betterwithmusic’s warehouse. A few end up published in the library, others are delivered in some portfolio. But the majority are kept safe, waiting for a second chance or a new suit.

One example is this “Something Epic”, once tailored for an online action game. It is also the last job I did with my “old” Nuendo.

New Release: Servants

servants copia

The original idea was an electro album, with saturated guitars in the place of traditional synthesizers’s sounds. Minimalist percussions inside noisy ambients. Soft rhythms, very light and ethereal, in general. Progressive, even.

But when I started to record, ideas took another direction. The guitars were made with the almost complete domination of the sound. The acustic drums appeared and the original elegant ambient dried. Electronic arrangements and programmations became the background. The music turned in something direct and powerful.

The soft sounds and quiet scenes turned into rage.
The result is “sevants”, classic rock and blues inspired riffs that flirt with the industrial sound.

Some influences … White Stripes, NIN, a day of rage, abandoned industrial buildings, rust, drunk steps, Grinderman…

To all who have received a notification from Youtube, don’t worry.

Someone who calls himself MusicShappire has stolen two of my songs. These songs actually are “Magic Mountain” and “Siesta”. Inform Youtube about it and the problem will be solved (just look at the date of publication of my songs and the date on which the thief released “their work”).

I’m working to solve this situation as soon as possible.

Thanks to everyone who warned me.

Thanks all your support.

Best,

Javier Suárez (Jahzzar)
