Hard Rock and Metal are in good health, I think so. Iron Maiden publish a Live DVD instantly standing # 1 in several countries. Similarly, the documentary about Lemmy is already a reference for critics and audiences. Black Sabbath prepare new material. Soundgarden return, possibly the most “metal” band from what they called grunge … These are consequences rather than causes. Because Metal has always been there, but now the market seem to have returned to notice him. We see it in sports promotions, with ads full of strength, not only in contact sports. A simple game of football or basketball with the appropriate sounds becomes an epic battle. We hear hard sounds on TV, in movies and shows. That I said, it was always there, but now regains some health. The political and social situation also helps. Nothing like a good discharge of noise to define it.
So is here “Crime Scene”. For all these reasons and because I wanted (needed) to complete betterwithmusic with strong rhythms and powerful guitars. And because, following my tradition of contrasts, it was what I wanted (needed) to do after the pause, calm and melancholy of Grab Bag.
