8 ways to Blake

I inaugurate new section on this blog: playlist. And I want to do it with one of my favourite current artists, James Blake. It’s easy to find clear references to his music in albums like “Raw Dub”, “Sketches” or “Bunk”.

I could talk about his way of phrasing on piano, his chord progressions or his high facility to work with silences and pauses. I could highlight emotional aspects. But I don’t want to be bored. As always, a sound is worth a thousand words.

This is a small selection. 8 ways to blake.

Review: Bye 2011, Welcome 2012

Yes… Summary to close 2011 and begin 2012

This year, in addition to changing the image of this page, I have published four collections of instrumental scoretracks:

2011 was received  with Moonxine a “conceptual” work based on the ambient of 90 and quieter electronics, with songs I try to explore new areas, darker, more nocturnal.
In April I return to the folk-rock sound with influences from traditional music to Blinded by Dust. This time songs focus more on the rock side, exploring the American Indie guitars and the new psychedelia; Celtic instrumentation being the background accompaniment.

To fire the summer RawDub, a collection of electronic beats again, this time near dub, dubstep, downtempo or hiphop with soulful melodies or, in some cases, pop.

To close 2012, I publish Traveller’s Guide, a pop guide, fresh from the oven. And a X-mas song, of course…

With all this music and I’ve published so far managed to achieve a considerable number of listeners and downloads on Jamendo, expanded my distribution with many new profiles on other social networks and CC music platforms. Sounds to be enjoyed and used as an accompaniment to all kinds of videos, websites, podcast etc… So we thank all those who have trusted us. I’m pleased with each and every one of our collaborations.

Finally I want to present a preview of the sounds we are currently working. New rhythms for the new year. Electronics again. maximalism and minimalism, R’n’B, some Dubstep, lively rhythms and a half times … In short, work in progress

Happy New Year!!
Thanks!!
